Visceral fat doesn't just kill your heart. It destroys testosterone, energy, and focus.

Here's the truth no one's telling you:

Fat loss after 40 is absolutely possible. But it requires a smarter, more targeted approach.

I've personally coached 500 people one-to-one in the last eight years, and my company has helped over 2,000 clients since 2018.

Here are 11 brutal but freeing truths:

  1. You can't outwork a bad diet. Not with a Peloton and a Garmin watch.
  2. White knuckling it for 4 to 6 weeks to "clean things up" no longer works. Your body adapts to these extreme diet periods over the years. They get less effective every time. It's called diet age and it's very bad in women 40+.
  3. You're no longer made of rubber and magic. The workouts that worked in your college days are useless today.
  4. Alcohol is slowing you down badly. Sleep, hormones, recovery, fat loss. All of it. It gets harder for your body to process as you age.
  5. You can eat healthy and still gain weight. Look at how many calories are in avocado toast. Fat loss is mostly about calories.
  6. Muscle is your metabolism. And you're losing 10 to 20% per decade. Higher end if you're not strength training.
  7. You're not moving enough. 8,000+ daily steps is the target. And that's nothing to do with your metabolism.
  8. Willpower is a horrendous strategy. Systems and environment always win.
  9. Stress is secretly making you fat. Cortisol is a fat storage hormone. In men it's even worse around the midsection.
  10. Skipping sleep equals skipping fat loss. Period. Get 5 hours sleep and you're a fat storing, insulin resistant machine.
  11. Accept you need accountability. It's not a weakness. Every pro athlete has a team of coaches. It's the secret the 1% use.
