  • I built my own house in my late 20s. Here's what it taught me about your health.

The biggest mistake most executives make with their health is the same one I almost made building my house.

In my late 20s, my brother and I decided to build our own houses at the same time.

My dad had built houses before so he was involved from the start. Having him there felt like we had it covered.

But even with that, we nearly made a mistake that would have cost us tens of thousands of dollars before a single wall went up.

We were about to demolish my grandfather's house on the land we'd bought from my family.

Me and my brother would have just gone ahead and done it. Nobody stopped to check the specific planning permission required because nobody knew to check it.

If we'd moved without that document, the cost would have been catastrophic.

That's the thing about blind spots. You don't know they're there until someone who's been through it before thinks to look.

Without my dad:

→ We would have taken three to four times as long.
→ The costs would have ballooned completely out of control.
→ Eight years later I guarantee you we'd still be trying to build.

The parallel to your health is exact.

Without the right mentor, someone who has already done it and can show you the framework, you'll spend years spinning your wheels.

The mistakes compound. The cost in time, energy, and results balloons. And a decade later you're still in the same place wondering why nothing has worked.

Were you in shape before and now you're not?
Have you lost 20lbs before and gained it all back?

If those are true you've never been taught how to get healthy properly.

I know this because I lived it too.

When I stepped into a gym 15 years ago I had no idea what to do. I spent four years figuring it out alone before I invested in a coach.

That investment gave me a framework I still use every single day. It's second nature now. It's habit. It's who I am.

No matter what happens in my life, I know how to stay healthy. That's something no one can ever take away.

But here's the part that matters just as much as the mentor.

No one is coming to save you.

The build still took five years. Every weekend blocked off. 9-to-5 job during the week, building my business on weeknights, construction on weekends.

We went over budget. We made mistakes. It was brutal and constant and it never stopped feeling like work.

But there was no shortcut. The work had to be done by us.

Your health is exactly the same.

You can have the best coach, the best plan, and the best system in the world. But if you don't show up, none of it matters.

Health takes time, effort, and money. You'll make mistakes. Some weeks will be harder than others.

But if you do it right, you build something that lasts forever. Something that outlasts the career, the house, and the car.

I get to wake up every morning in a house I built from scratch in my late 20s.

The executives who fix their health feel exactly the same way.

The people who successfully follow our program, follow our frameworks, and actually fix this for good have never once said they regret putting in the time, effort, and energy to do so.

If you're truly committed, you'll find a way.

If you're not, you'll find an excuse.

Which one are you?

Hit reply and tell me. I read every response personally.
